What is Electrical Length?

The RF/microwave literature specifies that micro strip line is 43 degree at frequency of 5GHz. What does this mean? Let us understand this in detail below.

Electrical length =E= (l/Lambda_ref) * 360 degree

E= T * F_ref * 360 degree

This indicates that a line which is 1 ns long has an electrical length(E) of about 360 degree at frequency(F_ref ) of 1GHz.
